MMI started in 1979 as a mobile CT Company, went public in 1983 as MMI Medical (MMIM on NASDAQ), puchased R Squared Scan Systems and Mediq Equipment Maintenance, then changed the formal name to InnoServ Technologies (ISER on the NASDAQ), was pought by GE Medical Systems in 1998 and John Froemke purchased the mobile business from GEMS. By that time MMI included mobile cardiac catheterizatin and/or Digital Subtraction Angiography Labs.
Since 1983 we have been doing mobile DSA/Angiography and renting cardiac Cath labs to Hospitals. A mobile lab is available for rent on short or long term contracts.
These mobile and modular labs have been used at such prestigious institutions as the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland (NNMC), hospital to the President of the United States, UCLA, Humana Hospital Audubon and many other Hospitals 'coast to coast, border to border'.
An MMI mobile cardiac catheterization lab was even used by NASA. Our Technologists greeted Columbia as it landed at Edwards Air Force Base and provided the Physician Team both the Technical assistance and the equipment they needed when the Astronauts walked down from the shuttle. This was for the first space shuttle flight totally dedicated to biological research.
In 1999 JAF LLC, composed of the management of MMI for 8 years, bought the assets of MMI and has upgraded the fleet while maintaining the tradition of service.
